Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce – Annual Christmas Parade
SEDALIA, MO. – The Sedalia Chamber of Commerce holds its annual Christmas Parade downtown Sedalia. This year, the parade will begin at 10:00am on December 1, 2018. The alternate date will be December 8, 2018. The theme is Christmas Memories.
Registration to enter the parade is $20 for 3 vehicles plus, $5 for each additional vehicle, float, horse or car. Motorcycle entry rates are as follows: up to 10-$20, 11-20 $25, 21-30 $30, 31-40 $35, 41-50 $40. Entries must be received by November 23, 2018 by 4:00pm. No entries will be accepted after that date and time. All entries will line up from 8:00am-9:30am on December 1, 2018. Each entry should be in line before 9:30am. All registrations must be printed from our website at www.sedaliachamber.com. Participants may email the form to firstname.lastname@example.org with credit card information or send check by mail to: Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce, Attn: Christmas Parade Entry, 600 E. 3rd Street, Sedalia, MO 65301. Payment is requested at time of turning in entry form or you will not be allowed to be in the parade. All numbers will be emailed to the person’s email address listed on the registration form. NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO PICKUP AN ENTRY FORM, REGISTER, OR PAY AT THE CHAMBER DUE TO THE HIGH VOLUME OF ENTRIES. A line up number will be emailed to each participant after the November 23rd entry deadline. The cost is $20 and checks payable to the Sedalia Chamber must accompany the entry form.
Judged categories must have a minimum of three entries or the entries will not be judged. Float entries will be judged on theme interpretation, workmanship, and originality. The car entries will be judged on body/paint, condition, quality, detail, interior, and engine compartment. Horse entries will be judged on rider, color, costume, mount, grooming and presence. The winning entries will be announced after the parade in front of the Pettis County Courthouse. Winners must be present to pick up their plaques directly following the parade.
