Septagon Construction Company hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for Dialysis Clinic, Inc. on June 10th at the site of the new facility on the west side of Mitchell Road in Sedalia.
Representatives from the Economic Development and the Chamber of Commerce joined members of the Septagon Construction team in congratulating local Medical Director Dr. David Wuellner, Facility Administrator Pam Beauford and Nurse Manager Sarah Sipe on their most recent endeavor. The new facility will replace their current facility located on West 7th Street. The new facility will offer more treatment and storage space in an up-to-date environment with 20 dialysis stations.
“The facility on West 7th Street has been running for 25 years,” said Dr. Wuellner. “The Sedalia clinic is one of 200 nonprofit clinics throughout the nation and is headquartered in Nashville, Tenn.”
Septagon Construction is providing the general contracting as well as self-performing the steel erection, concrete work and carpentry.

Chamber's 91st Annual Meeting and Recognition Reception was held at the
Katy Depot on Thursday, April 30. Over 100 people attended the reception.
The Ambassadors are a very visible unit of the Chamber devoted to promoting a positive image of our community. They welcome new members to the Chamber, host ribbon cuttings, after hours events, and host a progressive dinner. They also assist other committees with some of their events. The 2008 Ambassador of the Year Award was presented to Terri Barker of W-K for all of her hard work and dedication over the past year. The Dick Ditzfeld Courtesy Award sponsored by McLaughlin Brothers Furniture is presented to an individual who places a high value on courtesy and customer service, who has an ability to meet and greet the public and to follow through on what their needs are, thereby expressing a genuine interest in each person.
